These inserts enable you to achieve the eye-catching look of an Adamesh grille, but without replacing the surround.
Transform the appearance of your car to Type R supercharged looks with the economical alternative of these stainless steel mesh inserts, which are designed to fit perfectly into your existing grille surround, as a direct replacement for the standard plastic bars.
Made in exactly the same way as for the complete grille unit, you are assured the identical high quality electro-polished, hand-woven stainless steel mesh which will not rust or chip and maintains a highly-reflective, long-lasting finish.
For a distinctly stylish alternative, a black-finish mesh is also available for the X308 model.
These inserts will fit any of the model types detailed below, taking around 15 minutes to install. The inserts are fitted with a protective rubber surrounds, as they are installed from the front of the grille. Full fitting instructions are provided.

XJ40 – Pre 1995

- Unscrew and remove the vane inserts
- Remove the plugs which held the original screws in place by squeezing with pliers to break away lip. Push the remaining piece through with a screw driver
- Put 2 of the supplied brackets into the top holes of one side
- Place the mesh inserts into the bottom holes. Reach behind and while holding brackets, screw in the 2 top screws
- Put 2 further brackets in the top holes of the second side. Place the mesh insert into the bottom holes - use the short end of a small allen wrench to hold the bracket, while screwing in the final 2 screws
- Remove mesh inserts from the packaging.
- Begin by removing the 2 screws which are located at the top of each of the existing inserts.
- Once released, the existing inserts will fall forward at the top and you will simply need to lift them upwards and outwards to remove.
- The new mesh inserts will fix using the original screw holes. Fix the new inserts in the same way as the old was removed, using the screws to hold in position at the top,
