Give your cat the ultimate transformation with these LED day time running lights. The stunning look created will certainly draw attention giving it a unique look.

The 2 high quality light units have been molded to fit directly into your existing chrome bumper openings.

Installation is simple and requires the head light units to be removed in order to gain access to the lower part of the bumper. A wiring loom and 'smart switch' is also provided to enable permanent illumination.

This kit fits all models of XK & XKR fitted with the facelift bumpers (2010 - 2011).
1.Referring to the owners manual remove both headlight units from the vehicle. There are 3 x 10mm bolts (2 by the light and 1 in the wheel arch) on each light. Disconnect the head light washer tube leading to the light as well.

2. Loosen/Remove the front upper dust cover which runs above the radiator. This is necessary to pass the wires from one side of the vehicle to the other.

3. Take the new LED lights and feed the 2 wires and rubber grommet coming from the back of the light through the plastic mesh on the car. Make sure to line the wires up with the correct centre hole in the plastic mesh or the light will not sit correctly once in place. When the correct position has been found, remove the light just enough to be able to remove the backing from the double sided tape. Once removed push back into position so secure and repeat for the other side.

4. Working from the gap where the near side head light was positioned, undo the wiring looms and pass 2 of the wires with bullet connectors/rubber sleeve across to the offside head light position. Connect the 2 wires to those on the back of the new LED light units. The connectors and light are visible once the head light is removed. Ensure the correct polarity when connecting.

5. Repeat the light connection on the nearside light and ensure wires are secure.

6. Remove the plastic cover and fuse box cover from inside the engine compartment.

7. Feed the wiring loom from the headlights up into the engine compartment towards the fuse box. Connect the red wire with inline fuse holder onto the small bolt on the main 80 fuse in the box (see picture). Cut a small V shape in the side of the fuse box to allow the wire to pass out of the box without it being caught on the lid of the fuse box when fully closed. Feed the red wire around the outside of the fuse box.

 8. Connect the earth wire coming from the smart switch & relay to the ground point just to the side of the fuse box. Loosen off the bolt already holding an earth lead and connect with the O ring on the wire. If this earth point is not present use the earth point near the bonnet air bag.

 9. Check all the wiring is now connected and test the lights. The lights should remain off until the engine is started (not the ignition). When started the lights should illuminate after a few seconds and remain on. When you stop the engine the lights should go off after a few seconds. If the lights remain on after the engine is turned off you may need to fine tune the smart switch.

The lights are connected to a permanent live feed however they do not remain on all the time thanks to the smart switch. The smart switch (the small rectangle box) detects that the battery is only 12 volts when the engine is off so knows not to turn the lights on. When the engine is running and power is being produced for the battery is produces 12.5+ volts. When this increase in power is detected it turns the lights on.

If you need to fine tune the smart switch, remove the lid from the box and you will find a small adjuster which can be moved with a small screw driver.

10. Once you are happy with the lights, ensure all the wires are secure with wire tires and away from moving parts. Refit the headlights and fasten the dust cover. Check and double check all wires have been connected correctly.
